What are Weft Hair Extensions?
Weft hair extensions are long pieces of 100 percent human hair sewn into rows across your natural hair. We create a secure base, called a track, using microbeads, then stitch the wefts onto it with thread. They’re similar to clip-ins, but attached more securely and designed for longer wear.

We’ve refined our sew-in method to ensure your extensions sit flat, blend naturally, and look seamless from every angle, even as they grow out! The photo shows one of our wefts at 6 weeks, still sitting flush and secure.
We use premium double drawn Virgin Remy human hair made from raw material, which means it’s thick from top to end and holds its quality over time.

Who Weft Extensions Are Best For
Wefts are ideal if you have medium to thick natural hair and want a dramatic transformation or extra fullness. They work best for:
- Naturally thicker hair textures
- Clients wanting serious volume
- Anyone looking for a long-lasting method
If your hair is finer or shorter than shoulder length, we usually recommend tape extensions instead.

Our 20 inch wefts (about 50cm) sit around your bust or bra strap, depending on your height. They’re a great option if you want noticeable length and fullness while still keeping things natural and manageable.

Maintenance & Aftercare
These guidelines must be followed for ultimate results and longevity of hair extensions.
Before & After Your Appointment
- We ask that you please wash your hair 1 day before your maintenance/lift appointment
- Do not wash your hair for 48 hours after application of extensions
- We recommend your extensions get lifted every 6 weeks
Products To Use
- Only Seamless1 hair care products can be used on extensions
- Only Seamless1 shampoo can be used on the root area. On wash day, shampoo hair twice and rinse thoroughly to ensure hair is clean and there is no residue left at the tape area
- Seamless1 Conditioner, Mask, Leave-In Cream and Serum must only be applied from mid lengths to ends (avoid tape area)
- Seamless1 Hydrate Spray Heat Protectant to be sprayed on dry hair before the use of irons. Recommended heat – 180 degrees
General Care
- Real human hair extensions require you to brush your extensions gently on a daily basis. Ask your stylist for advice on the correct brush to use on extensions. Brush extensions before and after washing, small sections at a time. Avoid vigorous brushing when hair is wet as the tape is most vulnerable to slide off. Do not leave tape area wet.
- Bedtime Routine – Silk pillowcases and scrunchies are highly recommended. Avoid going to bed with wet hair. Brush hair and ensure there are no knots in the extensions. Apply Seamless1 Serum to mid lengths and ends. Tie extensions in a low loose ponytail to ensure the wefts are sitting down and flat on the scalp. Plait hair.
- Best to plait your hair while swimming. Extensions must avoid contact with chlorine, salt water, spray tan and sunscreen.
- Please ask your stylist for advice on how to tie your hair up.
Maintenance
Wefts need to be lifted every six to eight weeks. We recommend booking your first maintenance appointment when you book your install so your spot is guaranteed.

Are weft extensions safe for my hair?
Yes, when wefts are applied and removed professionally, they are safe for your natural hair. Our stylists are trained in proper technique and we will guide you through at-home care. Keeping up with maintenance appointments and following aftercare helps prevent any damage.
What brand of weft extensions do you use?
We use Seamless1 wefts, known for their high-quality Virgin Remy hair. We also stock their recommended shampoo, conditioner and styling products to help you care for your extensions properly.
What’s the difference between wefts and tapes?
Wefts are applied in rows using a track and thread, while tapes are individual pieces bonded close to the scalp. Wefts are ideal for thicker hair, whereas tapes work better for finer textures.
Can I wear my hair up with weft extensions?
Absolutely. Just wait about a week after your install before doing tight upstyles to give the wefts time to settle comfortably into your natural hair.
Do I need a consultation first, and what should I bring?
Yes, all weft installs require a consultation so we can colour match and custom order your hair. Bring inspo photos and any questions you have, it’s the perfect time to talk through your goals.
How long does the weft install take?
Anywhere from 1 to 2.5 hours depending on how much hair you’re having installed. Maintenance appointments take about the same amount of time.
How long do weft extensions last before needing a lift?
We recommend booking a lift every 6 to 8 weeks to keep your wefts sitting comfortably and looking their best.
Is cutting and blending included in the install price?
Yes. Every install includes cutting, blending and styling – no hidden extras.
What happens at a lift appointment?
We remove the wefts, re-secure the base and reattach your existing hair. You can also add a blow wave as an optional extra.
Can you colour or tone the wefts?
Yes, but if toning is required, it’s an additional cost. We’ll let you know if that’s needed at your consultation.
Can I swim or work out with them?
Yes. Just keep in mind that chlorine and saltwater can be drying, so we recommend tying your hair up and rinsing it well afterwards. Daily activities like gym sessions or a quick swim are fine with the right care.
Are weft extensions suitable for fine or short hair?
Not always. Wefts are best for medium to thick hair types. If your hair is shorter than shoulder length or quite fine, tape extensions usually blend better and feel more comfortable.
What if I’m not sure whether tapes or wefts are right for me?
No worries, that’s what our consult is for! We’ll assess your hair, talk through the options and recommend the best method based on your hair type and goals.
